Dr. Jalaleddin Amiri Appointed as Acting President of LUMS

The Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education of Iran, Dr. Mohammadreza Zafarghandi, has officially appointed Dr. Jalaleddin Amiri as the Acting President of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences (LUMS).

Dr. Amiri holds a Doctorate in General Medicine from LUMS and a specialty in Pediatrics from Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

He has an extensive background in medical academia and healthcare administration, including:

• Faculty Member at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences
• Director of 400-bed Hospital in Hamadan
• Deputy of Health & Head of Health Center in Razan County
• Vice Chancellor for Health at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences
• President of the Health and Treatment Network in Nahavand County
