Department of Nuclear Pharmacy
The PhD program of nuclear pharmacy comprises a network of researches, and educational as well as production-oriented activities carried out to achieve the following goals:
- Training expert researchers in the field of nuclear pharmacy in line with national educational and research requirements
- Training competent researchers for conducting researches, producing required materials, and using radioisotopes in medicine, pharmacy and medical basic sciences.
Alumni of nuclear pharmacy are expected to participate in educational activities and research projects associated with the production and control of radioactive drugs. Moreover, they are capable of using radioisotopes and radioactive drugs in pharmacy, medicine and medical basic sciences. Finally, they should be able to operate ray-measuring instruments, and protect individuals against rays. Due to the development of pharmacy schools, medical laboratory sciences and nuclear medicine institutes, and the significance of radioisotopes and radioactive drugs in pharmacy, and finally the significance of nuclear pharmacy in applied and foundational researches, the PhD program of nuclear pharmacy is offered to eligible applicants in order to meet the needs of higher education and research institutes.
