Duties and Responsibilities:
The Vice Dean for Research is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the research activities of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery in alignment with the strategic goals of the university. The office works to strengthen research capacity, promote scientific productivity, and support evidence‑based practice in nursing and midwifery sciences.
The main duties and responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing the faculty’s research policies and strategic plans in accordance with the university’s research priorities.
- Supervising and coordinating research activities of faculty members, researchers, and graduate students.
- Monitoring the quality and progress of research projects conducted within the faculty.
- Facilitating the approval, implementation, and evaluation of research proposals.
- Encouraging faculty members and students to publish in high‑quality national and international scientific journals.
- Supporting the development of interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects with national and international institutions.
- Promoting evidence‑based nursing and midwifery practice through research and knowledge translation.
- Organizing and supervising research workshops, scientific seminars, and academic conferences.
- Strengthening the activities of the Student Research Committee and encouraging student participation in research.
- Monitoring research performance indicators such as scientific publications, citations, and research grants.
- Facilitating ethical standards and research integrity in all research activities conducted within the faculty.
- Supporting faculty members in obtaining research funding and grants.
- Collaborating with the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of the University to advance institutional research goals.
